Learn MoreHP5 @ 1600 in DD-X is quite nice. Still, my first choice would be to push HP5 in XTOL, which will give you better shadows (but more grain). Since you're shooting 4x5, I don't think grain is too much of a concern. I've never used Microphen, though I imagine the results would be somewhere between DD-X and XTOL.
