How does a casing hanger work? The subassembly of a wellhead that supports the casing string when it is run into the wellbore. The casing hanger provides a means of ensuring that the string is correctly located and generally incorporates a sealing device or system to isolate the casing annulus from upper wellhead components.

Tu hanger is an assembly used in the oil or gas production wells. It is installed in the top bowl of a tu head.

A tu hanger typically is threaded onto the top of a tu string and is designed to sit and seal in the tu head. Usually the tu hanger is run through the BOP and landed in the top bowl of the tu head. The top of the tu hanger provides a profile necessary for the lock screws that will secure the hanger in the tu head.
